Nicaragua Report and News from Pakistan, Mexico, Central Asia, and home

Dear Fishnetters,

Thanks so much for your prayers.  We had a Nicaragua mission packed with fruitfulness and fun!  A team of 60 adults and youth gathered from the US, UK, Mexico, Guatemala and Nicaragua.  At least 300 folks received the Lord as Savior and 300 received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but that is not the complete count yet.  Team members ministered to pastors, teachers, pastors’ wives, ladies, children, and youth.  120 bicycles were given to pastors.

We were welcomed to the beautiful Skylark retreat center, which is a lovely facility built by a Presbyterian group from Canada to house mission teams and be a retreat place for Nicaraguan churches.
It was so good to be back in Nicaragua with it's lush greenery and tropical bird songs.

Will was excited to meet up with his part of the team, a youth group from Michigan.  This great group of kids overcame flight and luggage delays, kept a good attitude, and went out to schools their first day and won 180 kids to Jesus!

WOW!!

This was a
special birthday trip, with Angie, our hostess Angie Benitez daughter
turning 14 on June 14th...

and William turning 14 on June 15th!

What a delicious looking cake Will received,

but what is that mischeivous look on his face,

what is he going to do...

Oh, no!
Hey, Will, you're supposed to eat your cake, not wear it for a face mask!
Ministry began bright and early Monday morning with a group of Christian school teachers coming to the Skylark for a day seminar.  I had the privilege of leading them in "Up to Something Good" and here is Monica, our English team member, being interpreted by Julietta, team member from Iowa.

Praise the Lord, once again on this trip I heard wonderful testimonies of things the Lord has been doing through the song "Up To Something Good" (known in Latin America as Yo Voy a Creer.)

These Monterrey Mexico pastors shared with me how he, Antonio, suddenly could not move his arm or speak and was rushed to hospital.  Doctors said he would never recover his voice, but Elizabet said she refused to receive that prediction, boosted in her faith by Yo Voy a Creer.  He recovered and here they are on the team together!

Thank you, Jesus, for all Good things You have been up to!

As the pastor's wives gathered in the evening for their first service, the Nicaraguan team members put on their Indian dresses and danced to Call of the Harvest.  Several of them have been to India on mission!

The theme of the conference this year was "Women of Destiny, arrived at the Kingdom for such a time as this!"

One of the Pastor's wives who attended the conference shared that she had been so inspired the previous year that she took a computer class, learned to use email, learned how to drive and updated her personal appearance.

She organized a conference in her church in Chinandega where we ministered on Thursday.  It was a powerful time of challenging ladies to win souls for the Lord - 150 attended.

One of the things that makes this pastor's wives conference so effective is the fun that happens.

You can relax in the pool...

You can get your hair done or have a facial...

All these fun things including craft workshops and massages are lovingly donated by members of the host church.

What a top knotch event!

There was so much going on in this trip, including the bike rallies.  Syd and a whole group of guys, led by our host pastor, Victor Benitez, had raised funds for over 100 bikes.

They rode through the highways and delivered the bikes to the pastors who were overjoyed to receive one.

I was able to see one of the rallies where 75 pastors received bikes, and 60 folks received Jesus as their Savior!

It's been a while since I've been on such a large mission team and I forgot how much a challenge a large team presents to transportation.

One day Liz, Angie, and Monica from Mexico rode in the back of the pickup -

and suddenly - RAIN!

All was well...

the cheerful ladies arrived safe and sound.

After the pastor's wives retreat, we ladies in the team split up and did 6 conferences in 2 days, traveling to individual churches.

This one in Masaya was attended by 400 ladies, all hungry to learn more about how to win people to the Lord.

What a great privilege it was to be a part of this trip.

It was an honor to be on the team with Ruth Martinez again, from Monterrey Mexico.  She has been inspiring many Latin American believers to go to India, and has a team from Mexico ready to go in July.

Please consider if the Lord would have you help a Mexican pastor's wife with her expenses for the July India trip.  It would be a great blessing to be able to help them through Fishnetters.  If you send an offering designated for India, I will see that sister Ruth gets it for the Mexican ladies.  Thank you for praying about this need.

Also, I had the joy of seeing Pastor Haroon who has recently been in the states.  We went to Defiance Ohio to see him speak at Family Christian Center.  He sends his love to all the Fishnetters, and asks for prayer for several things.  He has been taking some challenging medical treatments and needs prayer for total recovery from the side effects.  Even though he has been through some difficult times physically, he hasn't slowed down and his ministry has the opportunity to begin a cable TV program which would reach a lot of folks.  Please join him in prayer for sponsors to help with the $300 a month costs and some start up costs for the equipment.

I would like prayer for a quick trip to Pennsylvania which I am making Friday through Sunday.  Our friend from Elam Ministries is in the country and Tonya has arranged some meetings for her in the Pittsburgh area.  I can't wait to see her and here more about what is going on in the house church revival in Central Asia.  Pray in the Spirit for such a time as this.

Also, praise God, we are moving to a new house in Fort Wayne, where we will now have our offices and home in the same place.

We have moved the offices in and are working on moving our house in the next few weeks.

It's a wonderful blessing from the Lord and we appreciate your prayers for the Lord to provide health, strength, wisdom, and lots of volunteers!

Love in Jesus,

Nancy Honeytree Miller
