Praise Fest, Alaska Cruise report, Baseball champ news, upcoming Argentina trip

Dear Fishnetters,

Please come to a ministry event – especially the Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio Fishnetters! – which will take place on September 6th during the famous classic car sale called the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival.  For the first time the festival is having a Praise Fest as an official part of the event – praise the Lord.  It will be held in the DeKalb Outdoor Theater, 461 South Center Street, Auburn, IN, 46706 or see directions at www.Dekalboutdoortheater.org and we would love to see you there!  They are having a service starting at 11:00 and then music begins at 12:15.  The groups are in the Southern Gospel groove – should be a lot of fun – and I will be ministering at 1:45.  The other groups are Heaven Bound, Dayspring Praise Team, and County Line Quartet.  In case of rain the event will take place at the Auburn First United Methodist Church on West 7th Street, but let’s pray for good weather so as many festival go-ers as possible will show up!

Here are some wonderful friends who cruised to Alaska on the Christian Classics Cruise (see www.christiancruises.net for next July’s opportunity to enjoy this bunch) and what a blessing it was to be a part of this time of music, fellowship, and spectacular surroundings.

My favorite ministers on the cruise are Don and Wendy Francisco (their music gets me every time) and pictured here with them is Mike Banta who plays guitar with Don and Wendy.

Also in the photo is none other than Melody Green! I had the enormous fun of being roomies with Melody for the week.  It was great getting better acquainted with this powerful sister in the Lord.  I took the time to re-read Keith Green's story, "No Compromise" while I was on the ship - wow, what a challenge.

Check out more about these guys at www.rockymountainministries.org  - don't miss the wonderful song GoD and DoG by Wendy.

Also see www.melodygreen.com to see what Melody is up to these days.

One day we went to see the Hubbard Glacier and that was absolutely awesome.  Walls of glacier would peel off and slide into the water with a thunderous clap and then splash and huge waves.

What a glorious part of God's creation!

Here’s Barry McGuire with his wife Mari.  They are pure joy to be around!

And Barry's songs are pure joy, too.

You can learn more about the continuing ministry of these folks at www.barrymcguire.com

Michael Card ministered – both in his incredible “through the Bible” songs and in a meaty teaching on the book of Luke.

Matthew Ward’s time of ministry was as sweet as the delicious anointed voice God has given him.

We all participated in the last concert – each doing a couple of songs.  As I was singing Clean Before My Lord, I could hear Matt singing some gorgeous harmonies out in the audience.  So I asked if he would come and sing so everybody could hear – that was a very special treat.

Now on to baseball news in the Miller family.  William’s team won the Junior
District 10 Championship!  He pitched a key game that helped us beat our chief rivals, the very fine Southtown team.
Way to go Will (pictured second from left on bottom row)!
They went on to state and here is Will playing 3rd base.
We were glad our friend Pastor Karie Kirschbaum, from Believer's Ministry, could come and see Will play in the state tournament.

The next trip that is coming up will be from September 23 – October 1 to Argentina.  I will be working with Alva Contreras, who along with her husband Serafin, are overseers of the Central and South American Foursquare Churches.  Alva has a great burden to see pastor’s wives strengthened from all denominations.  I will be joining Liz Doyle and other ladies who want to bless the ladies in Argentina.

Please consider what you can send to help with the expenses of this trip – it’s a long way down to Buenos Aires and the ticket isn’t cheap.  (Smile.)  Seriously we really need your help and prayers.  As always, pray that rivers of living water will flow to and through the team.

Also, please remember to pray for 2 sisters in the Lord, M & M, who have been in prison since last March in a Central Asian country.  They are powerful ministers in the house church movement, and we need to pray them out of jail!  Amen!

If you are interested in your prayer group adopting a city in Central Asia to pray more specifically for the house church revival, please email me with your land mail address at honeytree@onehundred.com.  I would love to send you some more information.

Love in Jesus,
Nancy Honeytree Miller
