We are so grateful to be serving the Lord! What a wonderful shepherd He is and so faithful. This has been a year of wonderful ministry adventures, as well as a challenging time. The Lord has been encouraging me to say, “This day is an adventure and I will see the mighty hand of God move.” In light of that I have also been thinking on the passage from 1 Pet. 5:6-11 which begins, “Humble yourself therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your cares on Him for He cares for you.” For many of us, this has been a trying time financially. I received an encouraging word from the Lord regarding this when I took a canoe trip on the Pere Marquette River in Michigan during September. It was scary because the water was low, the current swift, and there were many rocks and logs threatening to capsize us. We did capsize at the beginning, but then we got back up and managed the trip. After the trip was over the Lord spoke to my heart, “This means I will navigate you through the shallow waters.” I have taken that as a word to all of us that the Lord will guide us successfully through these lean times. May the Lord bless you with a restful and enjoyable Christmas time - and may He strengthen us to serve Him wholeheartedly in the New Year! Thanks for all your love and prayers, Nancy Honeytree Miller, J.R., William, Princess |
