Dear Fishnetters and Friends, Why is this lady smiling? Miracles, that’s why! I’m video taping the song, “I Have Miracles,” and I’m thanking the Lord for all the MIRACLES He is doing! This photo is from my recent trip to Spain, where I spent the first week making Urdu music videos, through an Assemblies of God media mission called International Media Ministries (www.imm.edu).

 | The Lord made a divine connection for the “Call of the Harvest” project with John and Ruth Merrell of IMM, whose purpose is to establish a global witness of Jesus Christ through media, and who just happened to be needing someone who could sing Urdu songs! God is up to something Good!
|
Ruth and John work with Brother Saleeb of The Bible Channel (read more about this work at www.thebiblechannel.org). He makes TV programs that are beamed by satellite into Urdu speaking areas such as the gulf states and Pakistan. In the programs, two men speaking in Urdu discuss Bible topics and teach Christian truths, while avoiding any political comments or criticizing religions. People are watching these shows and learning about Jesus!

 | All the members of the IMM team are missionaries, like the producer Michael Helin and his wife, Dawn-Marie. What an awesome, creative, organized job Michael and Dawn did on this project! It was truly an honor to work together.
|
Before I arrived in Madrid, Michael and his crew scouted out beautiful, panoramic locations for the songs and mapped out a schedule – so that we could record 6 music videos in 6 days! Wow! It was a lot of work from morning ‘til night – but we did it! Praise the Lord!

 | Here I am standing on an old Roman bridge about an hour outside of Madrid where we shot “Release Me Oh Lord.” This is crew member, Jonathan, getting a long view of the bridge. Jonathan is like a Master’s Commission worker, only he’s an “MA’er”, or Missionary Associate.
|
 | Here is another MA, Tiffany. She and Jonathan did a great job on camera, and believe me, they worked hard setting up the jibs, tearing everything down, and then carrying the equipment to the next location to start all over again. |
| Of course, on any crew there’s always someone who’s the life of the party – and in this case it was our sound man, Jeff. | |
 | The Lord connected us with a lovely young woman named Jordana who joined us in the “Call of the Harvest” video. It was wonderful to have her working with us, and I sensed that the Lord will continue to use her life to reach those who have never heard about Jesus. And He will use her in ways that will surprise and delight her, just as she was surprised to be in the video! |
| Now we have to wait a while to see the finished product, because it takes time to do the post production editing. I will let you know as soon as I have a copy. Let’s be praying that the Lord will use these tools for ministry to communicate His love to thousands! | |
After Madrid, I went to Granada and worked with a fantastic school called IiBet, (www.iibet.org) which teaches Latin Americans to reach out in trans-cultural ministry. I spent a week studying the subject of “Honor and Shame Based Cultures.” I also led worship every morning for the seminar students and did a concert on Wednesday night. There were 60 students, about a dozen from the US and the rest from Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico, Brazil, El Salvador Uruguay, and Spain. The highlight of the trip was the last Sunday night, as I sang in a church in Granada, when a young Spaniard named Fernando, who was a Buddhist, received Jesus into his heart after hearing “Man in White.” That was a crowning touch on the entire trip! Thank you, Jesus. I have so much to tell you about the upcoming Pakistan trip (March 15 – April 5, 2006). Here is a link to an article about it in our Fort Wayne News Sentinel, November 9. Delivering the word of God through song “Here I am. Lord, send me” sings the alto voice of Fort Wayne Christian folk artist Nancy Honeytree Miller, expressing her desire to deliver the word of God far beyond the confines of Fort Wayne. The full article will be available on the Web for a limited time: http://www.fortwayne.com/mld/newssentinel/living/community/13122672.htm (c) 2005 News Sentinel and wire service sources. All Rights Reserved. Let’s be praying continually for the relief efforts in Pakistan. By now they reckon that 80,000 have died in the earthquake. Praise the Lord that we will have the opportunity to share the good news of Jesus’ love. Pray that people’s hearts will be more open than ever before. We will send a letter soon to detail how you can help with this trip. Thanks, dear friends, for all you prayers and love! Love in Jesus, Nancy Honeytree Miller
